eXpd8 Ltd. is a rapidly growing IT solutions Service Company based in Swords, Co. Dublin with a strong focus on excellence & customer care. We service & support a large number of varied clients based in a number of different markets with a high penetration in the Legal & Property Space. We provide hardware & software support, including support for our own in house software, to clients via telephone, email remote connections & onsite calls. Field support is provided by a team of field engineers who provide on-site and remote assistance to all of our clients along with Full Implementations of All Aspects of Microsoft SBS 2003 Server.

Job Overview

  • The successful applicant will become a member of our team of field engineer who are primarily responsible for all implementation and installations of new Server & IT Solutions and also for on-site callouts & repairs of our clients throughout the 32 counties.
  • Field engineers also act as a 2nd level of support to clients when the 1st level support desk escalates client issues.
  • The successful applicant must be highly motivated with a proven ability to work under pressure while handling multiple assignments.
  • We work closely to our clients SLA’s and as such the successful applicant must have the ability to work to deadlines and provide excellent customer service as we are a service orientated company.
  • The successful engineer will be required to work closely in a team of field engineers, support staff & sales employees to provide the highest level of service possible.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary as they will need to liaise with clients, the Support Manager, Helpdesk & Other Departments.
  • Our field engineers work to the highest standards and as such need to have excellent time-keeping, a keen eye for detail and excellent customer service as they work directly face-to-face with our clients.
  • Our field engineers also provide 2nd level support and must be able to balance workloads from onsite work with 2nd level troubleshooting. 

     Technical Requirements

  • The successful will have a minimum of 3 years experience of installation, administration & support in the following areas of technical expertise that are essential to the role:
  • Windows Small Business Server 2003/2000 (or related)
  • Windows Microsoft exchange 2000/2003
  • Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/ Vista
  • LAN/WAN/VPN/WLan network technologies
  • Remote Access Technologies
  • Antivirus software (Symantec, McAfee)
  • Microsoft Office, all versions
  • Backup Solutions (Tape, Offsite backup etc)
  • Mobile devices (XDA, Blackberry)
  • Digital Faxing
  • MCSE, MCSA, SBS desirable
