Manually Updating eXpd8 SQL from the Web

The SQL version of eXpd8 is designed to automatically updte itself from the eXpd8 web site each time a new version of the product is released.  These releases include some new functionality but are primarily geared towards service packing.

These instructions are intended for use in situations where automatical updates from the web are problematic– or where restrictions to internet access inhibit certain PC’s from accessing the updates.

Launch the internet and past the following address into the address bar
http://www.eXpd8.com/downloads/eXpd8FullSetup.exe

click Run button in the download prompt window as displayed below here.

Alternatively –
If some pc’s on the network can not access the internet – any of the pc’s which can access the internet could save this file to a central location on the network from which the pc’s without internet access may run the installer




You will see the prompt asking you to сlose eXpd8 and Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Outlook if you have any of them opened. Close eXpd8 and any of Microsoft Office application and then click Next button.
If you are still prompted to prompted to close a Microsoft Application there is a possibly that the process(es) still running. You may need to wait for these processes to end before continuing.” through all the installation screens and click Finish at the end.
