INTRODUCING EXPD8 DOCUMENT MERGE FUNCTION
We all know the time and effort it takes to do up a Brief –
Firstly, there is typing up the index, then preparing the contents – getting the contents from the paper file – photocopying multiple copies - putting it in order and then binding it up – then putting all the relevant documents back into the file making sure they all go back in date order. Depending on how big the brief is and how many copies you need this could take on average of anything up to a day beside the photocopier and the binding machine not to mention your other work?
What if all this could be done on average of 15-20 minutes with the new Document Merge functionality?
Because within an expd8 file you have all your documents either created or scanned so creating a Brief is a few short steps:
1. In the activity tab you simply hit the Document Merge button
2. Select the documents you wish to put in the brief
3. Create/type your headings for your index i.e. pleadings, medical reports, correspondence etc
4. Design your brief putting the relevant documents under their right headings
5. Hit the Run button
6. Brief is ready to be printed and bound!
7. The entire Brief is saved in your file
8. Easy to update and regenerate whenever you need it
This function can not only be used for designing an electronic Brief but also for Booklets of title and putting together completion documents.
